Abstract: Organosedimentary structures and biota from the Upper Proterozoic of Lower Zaire, Kasai, Shaba, North-east Zaire and South-east Burundi are recorded. These structures belong to oncolites, viz., Ambigolamellatus, Asterosphaeroides, Polysphaerula, Babetosphaera and Burundiocyathus f. nov. and catagraphs - Conferta and Vesicularites. The stratigraphical significance of the organosedimentary structures in the Upper Proterozoic of Equatorial Africa has also been given.
