Abstract: A new species of Sahnipushpam, S. glandulosum is described here in detail from the Intertrappean beds of Madhya Pradesh. A number of specimens probably representing young fruit stage of Salmipushpam glandulosum have also been described. The flowers and young fruits described here are sufficiently well preserved to reveal all their anatomical details. A comparison with the modern families reveals that this dicotyledonous flower shows a near approach to the family Myrtaceae.
