Abstract: The spore flora recovered from an argillaceous shale of Lower Carboniferous age from Boneparte Gulf basin, Australia, has been described. 10 genera and 14 species are recorded. The spore flora has typical Lower Carboniferous index spore genera like Convolutispora, Velamisporites, Cristatisporites, Cincturasporites, Grandispora and Remysporites.
