| Abstract: | The present paper describes in detail the anatomy of two fossil dicotyledonous woods, viz.,Grewioxylon mahurzariense Prakash aud Dayal (1963a) and Grewioxylon indicum sp. nov. from the Deccan Intertrappean beds of Mahurzari (21۫ 13’ N; 79۫ 1’ E), district Nagpur, Maharashtra. This is the first authentic record of the genus Grewia Linn. as petrified wood from India and abroad. |
