Abstract: The little known Glossopteridean genus Rubidgea Tate is described from the Karharbari beds, Giridih Coalfield. Two new species, R. obovata and R. lanceolatus have been instituted. The generic diagnosis has been emended on the basis of the Giridih specimens.
