Abstract: Associations of miospores and marine acritarchs are described from the marine intercalations in the Lower Gondwanas near Manendragarh and Umaria. The Manendragarh mioflora is typically Talchir in its dominating content of monosaccate forms. Associated acritarchs are very rare. The Umaria assemblage is poor in miospores but marine acritarchs arc abundant amongst which Foveofusa gen. nov. is distinguished. The palynological, biostratigraphical and environmental aspects of the palynological associations are briefly discussed.
