Abstract: Recent paleobotanical expedition to several Lower Gondwana (Permian) localities occuring in Chandrapur District of Maharashtra has brought to light several well preserved petrified gymnospermous woods. In the present paper three new species of Araucarioxylon i.e., A. aravii sp. nov., A. chandrapurensis sp. nov. & A. shailae sp. nov. are described based on distinct anatomical characters.
